Ann Rapstoff's work crosses art forms, it is often concerned with constructing situations, dialogues and collaborations. These take the form of projects, workshops, events, interventions and situations. She has worked with people in a variety of settings, sometimes positioning herself on the edge of work and involving people from other professions and experiences. She describes her role as that of a communicator, collaborator and facilitator.
Work is often process based and attempts to physically inhabit a situation, space, idea or word, appearing explicitly or anonymously in the work. She explores ways of engagement, often experientially, unsettling known structures and shifting the proximity between artist, audience and or participants.
